Sounds like bunch of work. Is it really worth it?
I had this exact same question before I started. But then - really, you just have 2 choices. One - Work for the EB-1A, and make it happen. Two - Accept that waiting half your lifetime is the only way to freedom, and do nothing about it. I took path one because even if there was a 5% chance of success, it would save decades and that's a big deal. It just felt foolish not to try it.
With lack of other good resources around, I had to figure everything from scratch on my own, make mistakes and learn. Now, with the peace of mind it brought, it was definitely worth all that hard work no doubt. About Saiman...
My story is likely similar to yours. I come from from a small town in Coastal Karnataka, India. Moved to the US for grad school.
